Lovely Find of the Day: Bird Hoop Art from PragyaK

Whimsical collection of three one of a kind art hoops with bird motif. Made using paper strips, thread and white 100% cotton fabric stretched on a wooden embroidery hoop. Wouldn't these look lovely in the kitchen or perhaps to brighten a child's room or a little nook?

Purchase at: PragyaK on Etsy. Image credits via artist's flickr.

Vintage Betsy McCall Paperdolls

As a child I really loved going through my mom's McCalls magazine because sometimes in the back they would feature the "Betsy McCall" paper doll. I fully regret never ripping these out and saving them as when my parents moved overseas, all of those magazines were recycled. *sigh*

But joy of all joys, this morning I discovered a website where you can PRINT the vintage 1950s Betsy McCalls for FREE! HOORAY! Check it out here: Betsy McCall - The First Ten Years

***Don't forget to put thicker paper or thin cardboard behind the pages before cutting them out!

Cotton Time Magazine Scans

I love this craft magazine so much! Everything is just sooo cute and I love cute pretty things (if that wasn't already obious). I haven't made anything yet, but one of these days I will. Enjoy these scans from "Cotton Time" Japanese craft magazine.
