Vintage Interior Inspirations | The French Settee

It's one of those pieces of furniture that I dream about having, but realistically, probably won't have. But, who knows, I've been able to talk myself into getting things that aren't really sensible or practical but are just too pretty not to have. A French settee is one of those things.



It's frou frou furniture and sometimes I really love frou frou things. But the French settee isn't exactly a couch you can plop into to, punch the cushions for ideal head resting, and laze around for hours on (but maybe the latter is a good thing, no couch potato syndrome!)

Currently Loving: LONNY Magazine March/April 2011

When Domino magazine was pulled off shelves I might have shed a tear of two. After all, I felt Domino was the first interior design magazine that "got me"... it wasn't quite as New England as Martha Stewart, not quite as shabby chic as Cottage Style, and not quite is posh as ELLE Decor. It was the happy Goldie Locks of interior design.

But now, there's { LONNY MAGAZINE }, basically an online version of Domino. (Hooray! Hooray!)

Wishlist: Vintage Modern Industrial Office

Ever since I got an invite for Pinterest, I've been pinning inspirations all over the web. Lots of interior design ideas as that's kind of where my head is at right now. I hate when I start feeling like my space is getting stale. It makes me a bit stir crazy and I need SOMETHING to change. Maybe I'll go buy the Louis Ghost Chair... I've been wanting one for YEARS!

Shabby Chic Vintage Home Inspirations

When I first caught glimpse of these shabby chic vintage interiors my heart did flutter. Not only did the house have old bones, but the vintage clothes, the sparkling jewels, and the collection of vintage Wolf dress forms next to that antique armoire... oh goodness, if this isn't shabby chic vintage heaven, I don't know what is.


I dream one day to have a workspace that could be as beautiful as this and as inspiring. I always wanted to live in a home where people felt the urge to poke around and peek at the beautiful things I've curated over the years. I want everything in my home to tell a story, particularly a fairy tale.

Vintage Inspired Places | Home Office

I often wish I had my little own space to do all my work and these lovely vintage inspired home offices have got me a bit green with envy! So inspiring!


I love that mix of modern meets industrial meets vintage. When I say vintage, I usually refer to a more feminine look and not just something that is older. And for industrial, to me it is more masculine. Maybe I can say I like very androgynous rooms?

One of the reasons I love going to antique malls so much is to add to my collection of vintage kitchen knick knacks. I particularly love floral plates, porcelain tea cups and saucers, and vintage tea towels.
