{Inspiration Board} Cheerful Spring Wedding + Guestbook Alternative

I've needed a bit of a pick-me-up lately and what better way to do that (wedding related at least) than to build a cheery colorful inspiration board.

And how about that top right photo for a great idea for a guestbook alternative?

Inspiration 214: Pink and Orange Gerbera Daisies

Gerbera daisies are so pretty and fun!  For this board I went with hot pink and orange gerberas for a colorful summer look.  I love the hanging ribbons, so sweet for an outdoor wedding.

Real Wedding: Katie & Mark's Disneyland Wedding

This wedding is so cute!  I love all the small Disney touches they added to their day to play off the fact that they were married at the Disneyland Hotel. Katie's bouquet is really pretty too, the mix of dahlias, roses and orchids is perfect.

Inspiration 211: Elegant Wine & Berries

Getting back to the suggested palettes from the contest awhile back I created this wine and berries board on someone's suggestion!  I combined the wine/sangria color with bold red (like strawberries), cranberry and a mixture of pinks.  Of course, I love the blackberries combined into the top left bouquet!

Inspiration 206: Bohemian Like You

Sorry, I just had to make the title that... I love that song!  Anyway, this board has a bit of a bohemian feel to it.  I incorporated feathers and a monochromatic pink palette to create this look, and I think it's lovely.  I drew the color palette from the awesome ombre (means shaded in French) cake and added a cranberry pink to the flowers to really make a statement.

Real Wedding: Amy & Jordan's Colorful October Wedding

Today I have a lovely wedding to share with you from Jason + Gina Photography.  The bride incorporated pale yellow bridesmaid's dresses with bright and colorful bouquets.  I love the groom's unique boutonniere too!  I think this wedding is an excellent example to draw inspiration from if you want something different then the usual fall color scheme.

Inspiration 204: Spring Blush

Another board inspired by a bouquet!  I am seriously so madly in love with the bouquet featured in this board.  From the bouquet I pulled the blush, light sage and gray color palette.  I can see this board come to life as a simple, classic spring wedding.

Inspiration 201: It's in the Details

The bridesmaids looks in this board rock!  I love how they each have different color shoes and that their shoes match their accessories.  To play off this amazing look I used the colors from their shoes in all the other details of the board.  The cake in this board is pretty awesome as well, I love all the detail work on it.

keep calm and carry on review

There is nothing I like more than a good concept tee. Yay Verily! I feel lost without a concept. All like 'It's a picture of a ninja, like whatever'.

Anyway, the tee. The design is based on a poster from the British Ministry for Propaganda. If you are going to pick a source...

Any way, the afore mentioned ministry released this exact design on a poster, as a message from King George VI to ease the nerves of the British people at the start of WWII. So wonderfully British. I like telling people the story. Even when they don't ask. Even when they don't want to know. Only one person has thought it was a commentary on gay rights.

So next time the Hun lay waste to your homeland, take your gender non-specific partner firmly by the correct parts and remember to keep calm and carry on.

umpqua real life review

This tee from SubUrbanRiot gets the thumbs-up from us, fits great, looks great, and may or may not attract lightning during storms. Plus it comes with a handy book of matches so you can burn it if you're not 100% happy. So the moral of the story is go and buy one/something else in their shop now.
