Elysian Park, Los Angeles

Jessica and Dave's ceremony took place at the Los Angeles LDS Temple and their reception was held at the beautiful Elysian Park within the Los Angeles Police Academy. But in between the festivities we had the chance to do a photo shoot in Downtown Los Angeles. Dave did great considering he ruptured his achilles tendon (ooouuch!) and had his foot in a cast. He still managed to get around on crutches and he didn't let anything stop him. Our shoot began on the steps of Bunker Hill and continued on to the Los Angeles Union Station. Below are just a few of my favorites but be sure to check out the teaser slideshow of their wedding day (click here)

Westlake Village Inn

Congratulations to Michelle and Matthew! Their wedding and reception took place at the beautiful Westlake Village Inn, CA. The weather was sunny and mild (oh man it could have been HOT, but we were blessed with awesome weather). Michelle and her bridesmaids were fun to shoot because they loved to ham it up for the camera! Needless to say Michelle looked amazing in her Reem Acra gown. In the hotel room I found this red chase sofa that I ended up using as an outdoor prop for the pictures. Their portraits on the sofa turned out great – props are always good. The ceremony took place at Westlake's intimate Tuscan Garden. The reception in the Provence Room began with the traditional Jewish Hora - the chair dance. That's always exciting to watch! Be sure to watch their teaser wedding slideshow (click here)

e-session Venice + Santa Monica

Here's a few of my favorites from Jiwon and Robin's engagement pictures at Venice and Santa Monica. They wanted some hip fun urban photos so we headed down to Abbott Kinney Blvd to find some cool spots. Jiwon and Robin are adorable - they knew how to have fun and weren't afraid to be themselves. There's plenty of colorful buildings over there - it's almost like an art colony because a lot of the shops and buildings are uniquely designed.

Go Lakers! Well, maybe next year...

What on earth are we doing laying on the pier?!

The First Meeting in Pasadena

More pictures from Ruby and Sergio's wedding - and check out their teaser slideshow (click here).

When Ruby and Sergio saw each other for the first time during their wedding day, it was a moment I'll always remember. He snuck up behind her (or at least tried) to give her a kiss but when their eyes met you can see their faces literally light up. It was an emotional moment they got to enjoy and remember! They started chuckling "we're getting married!" as they embraced. It was so fun to see their excitement and happiness. During our photo shoot they kept getting really close to kissing passiontely - I don't let them kiss before their wedding ceremony so they had to do the "almost kiss". It totally builds tension, but when they do kiss for the first time at the ceremony it's like BAM!
Ruby looked amazing elegant in her Pronovias gown:

Their romantic photos were at the Pasadena City Hall.

Here's the spectacular sunset view from their reception venue at the Pasadena Museum of Contemporary Art

When it came to salsa these two were naturals

And of course...
