of offense and defence

I'm not usually a big fan of the words on a t-shirt around a picture thing, but I love this shirt from SackWear, it manages to seem horribly offensive and yet isn't really. Actually I'd probably like it more if it were offensive... offense is the best defense they say. And they would know.

new at nerdy shirts

There are so many of these samey-same sucker money from the poor 80's kids tees, but I have to admit that the gang at Nerdy Shirts make me shed a single tear of joy every time I cast my eyes upon theirs. Sigh.

$10 gift code at american pig

American Pig... weird name, cool stuff. We've just discovered that if you sign up for their mailing list, you'll be rewarded with a $10 voucher code to aid in your t-shirt buying adventures. That means you could pick up this nifty "World Grenade" shirt for only $4.99 or this Russell Forester design "Red White and Glue" (our favorite of the moment) for $19.99. BARGAIN!

Downtown Long Beach Photography

I got together with a group of photographers (thanks Sean, Drew, Rudy, and Britney!) in Downtown Long Beach for a photo session with my newlywed friends Marissa and Andy.

Long Beach has so many cool spots for shooting and it's fun to just walk and look around!

And of course, there's Birtney's studio:

threadless winners announced

The results are in for 'Boys Like Girls loves Threadless' and the grand prize winner is our favorite Threadless offering in a long while by Frank Barbara . The Christmas $10 sale may be over but the goodness just keeps coming. A special shout-out to the yellow nipples. Cool.

funkyness at chocosho

Check out Mauve Feather Flight at chocosho, designed by Moonblood T-shirts with a funky Native American-esque design. We think the super-long tee is just tops and we're going to go and buy 5 immediately.

Merry Christmas!

This year Reb, Lily, and myself wanted to see some Christmas lights so we made a short trip to Naples in Long Beach. We enjoyed our walk around the island and paused at each house that had amazing Christmas lights. Here's a couple of images from our walk:

The residents here really love to decorate their beautiful homes and they host an annual contest. It was also nice to see that everyone here were super friendly - it looked like we were in a Christmas movie where people were singing or saying "Hello and Merry Christmas!" The only thing missing was the fake snow falling down.

$10 sale at the cotton factory

Our new favourite shop ever is having an ass kicking $10 designer tee sale! These are my personal favourites, I'd buy them but I'm off to buy a giant sandwich.
Makes me so happy.

Ok, I lied about the music.

Ritz Carlton Wedding Photography Marina del Rey

I'm 7 for 7. This year I had seven weddings happen on a day when it was supposed to rain. Each time people start to worry, I try to reassure them that I have a perfect record, and they kind of just say "huh?" God is truly on my side because each time when the rain was forecasted to come down, it would either stop long enough for the ceremony to proceed beautifully, or it would just turn out to be a gorgeous day for photography! So I'm stoked to do my last wedding of this year ending in a perfect record.

Nora and Robert are a loving and romantic couple which made it so easy to capture intimate moments this day. Their wedding ceremony started of at the Ritz Carlton, Marina del Rey and concluded with an incredible ten course dinner at Prince Seafood.

I owe a HUGE thanks to Britney and Miguel who came out to shoot with me. They both came out with tons of killer images! (Click here to see the preview slideshow of our images) One of my favorites from the Ritz Carlton:

I love this!

Pamela in Downtown Long Beach

I got together with friend photographers Britney and Jasmine to do a fashion shoot with Pamela. Pamela is an incredible model that Jasmine graciously set us up with. And Britney was kind enough to host at her studio in Downtown Long Beach. Here are a few of my favs: (click on any image to see it larger)

Ladera Ranch Portrait Party

Amanda is an amazing makeup artist from Orange County. She commissioned me to do portraits of her makeup artistry and her good friends came over to model for us. They all did so well it turned into one of the funnest portrait sessions I've done! Here are a few of my favs: (click on the image to see it larger)
