more funkyduds 8 tees of the moment

MoreTvicar 'I O Tokyo' sounds like a good name for a song. I O, I O, I'm off to Tokyo... that's all I got. Neat tee though, designed by an Australian. But do you think I can get one from here? Nope, gotta go to the US or the UK... I'm not bitter.
£30

This PalmerCash 'Radio Clyde' was worn by Frank Zappa in 1981 after a radio interview (not this particular tee I'm guessing, but you might be able to find it on Ebay). Unlike Frank, you won't get this tee for free because you're not a huge rockstar, but you will get it for the price that I'm writing right here:
US$35.95

Digital Gravel 'Skull Bop' is both freaky-maleeky and nifty. Reminds me of Beatrix Potter actually. Oh those poor bunnies.
US$25

Uncle Kimono 'Style is'. If you haven't heard of John Malkovich's label 'Uncle Kimono', go check it out. Some of his proceeds do to some acting thing that I don't really care about, but he gets ten points for being cool.
US$49

NerdyShirts 'Lasers are Fun'. It's true, they are. We used to have that laser game that you played in your backyard, and I really think that if I had this tee at the time I would have won. Instead of winning by just sitting in a tree for 3 hours until everyone else gave up. It still counts you know.
US$19.95

Tank Theory 'Sketchbook 1' or 'why has someone been drawing on my t-shirt?'
US$23

PalmerCash 'Your Favorite Music Sucks' is spot on, most people's favourite music does indeed suck. This tee doesn't.
US$15.97

Old Crappy Tee 'I'll do you if you do me" gave me a laugh when I saw it. And then a little bit later too. I guess it's one of those designs where the person came up with it works at a zoo. So many zoo-keeping designers these days.
US$14.99

80s comeback in full swing

80s cartoon/movie/game tees have been going nuts for ages now, but at the moment we're seeing a big resurgence in 80s styling...

It's the word of the moment over at PalmerCash, and it truly is rad. If big scary rapper-types are wearing bright colours with stars and rainbows, I can damn well wear a bright yellow tee with 'rad' on its kisser.
$21.97

'Minx' from MoreTvicar in proud pink and grey, national colours of the 80s (apart from neon - all of them) is another of my favourite tees of the minute, think I'll get me one of these.
£30

Digital Gravel '2020' feels so familiar, maybe my dad had one when I was a kid... surely he wasn't that trendy though, even back then. If anyone recognises this from somewhere, let me know before I go mad.
US$31

Backseat Kiss 'Sex & Hairspray' may as well be a Jem and the Holograms tee.
US$19

Tank Theory 'Doom' reminds me of the Mulligrubs, If you don't know what I'm talking about, carry on about your business. If you do, ummm also carry on about your business.
US$21

wicked cool stuff... is

This is the greatest tee ever - I bought it just before writing this so that the irony-beast wouldn't have a chance to make me miss out. I love it and am thinking of having its babies. Wicked Cool Stuff has tees from many a cartoon series, but also tv, movies, brands, 80s, sci-fi and anything you could possibly dream of. Unsure yet on the babies front. Checky these GI Joe and Transformers tees white you're there, most are only US$16.16:

vintagedge - spot the good shirt

Now I'm not usually one to tolerate crudity... ok, I am - but I don't want to be so it hurts me a little to put this pic out there but damn it - it's funny. Vintagedge has a LOT o' the usual crap, but a couple of diamonds (no really, two) but it's cheap and the world needs a bit of cheap crap to make the other stuff look cooler by comparison. (Whether or not they are aware that this is their role is debatable...)

Lafraise design comp makes for great tees

LaFraise is a France-based design comp/tee shop site with a useful 'English' button at the top. You could think of it as Threadless' French cousin, but that might be a little weird as it's a website and hence not prone to family trees like its human brethren (or 'not brethren' as the case may be). With a couple of new tees added today, an ongoing design comp, and a loyalty points program (called 'brouzoufs' - those crazy French) they've put together a good site. Now if only they shipped to Australia, I could buy their freaking shirts (cue for all Aussies to email them).

$12 sale on selected tees at no star

"Oh, the goodness of saletimes", as Wendy said to Peter Pan. Interweb t-shirt selling site No Star has a few great tees on sale for $12 PLUS free shipping (to US only - BOO!) for orders over $50 when you enter the code BOOYAH at ye olde checkout. My personal favorite is the two girls saying "Lets start a war. Pass it on" girls can be so mean.

karmaloop big winter sale

Karmaloop - home to the mighty up-to-80%-off-sale is not only having a coolesque sale, but if you enter the code 'SQUEEZE' at the checkout, you'll get and additional 20% off everything including SALE items (well everything but not Kazbah brand)
You'll almost certainly get cred in the playground with brands like Paul Frank, Tank Theory & LRG on your muffin, I even spotted some tees for $5.95 and that's mighty ok.
Yes, I just invented that phrase 'on your muffin', you're not mad. Well, based on this incident in any case.

most cool package sale at backseat kiss

As well as having the damnest cutest tee models about, Backseat Kiss is having a sale (if you didn't already get that from the title of this post)! Girls and Boys can get the funky 'holiday mixtape package' on the left for only US$59, the 'cowboy package' on the right (my right, not yours) for US$64 or other ones that you can go and look up for yourselves you slack bastards. PLUS, if you put in 'funkyduds' as your referrer when you buy something, I get good stuff :) While you're there, check out some other normal priced goodies (around US$15-20) like so:

more T vicar has a spiffing sale goin' on

I've found another T-shoppe for my collection. I keep them locked up in my basement and feed them bread and water all mashed up together. UK based moreTvicar have brands such as 2Blame, Ames Bros, Amplified, Anon, Button Brothel, Itsus & Lazy Oaf , and are currently having an up to 75% off sale on selected items. Tops.
Meanwhile, if like me you're into making your own art (I like to call it art... don't know who else would...) I've compiled a list of sites accepting artwork or running tee design comps. Check it out down on the right complete with prize amounts/commissions for your list reading pleasure.

randomshirts $10 tees, $20 hoodies!

Randomshirts have a bundle of tees, some that I pretty much hate, and some that I pretty much like. I pretty much love this yellow one though, and I particularly really love the photo. I'm the type that would buy a shirt out of appreciation of a nicely post-produced photo that does it justice... just like I'll only buy a product from the supermarket if the advertising is good. 10 points to them.
ADDITIONAL: Randomshirts is having a clearance! Shirts from $2 (but you don't want that one...) and heaps are $5. Buy!

terratag is cool

Terratag, the Anglo-Japanese hybrid store has the coolestest stuff ever. The site's a bit hard to traverse for my liking, but if you can find them, Co-lab have my favorite tees including this amazingly cool pink one. Pink and delicious. Additionally they're having a 20% off sale on selected items so head on over there and get yourself some funky... lost my train of thought.

palmercash liger tee is nifters

PalmerCash is the greatest t-site ever. I don't know why I've never heard of them before... probably because I'm ignorant.
Anyways, I like a good rip-off shirt, as long as it's true to it's source like this Napoleon Dynamite Liger tee demonstrates.
And as these other pictures suggest, I also like a good non-rip-off shirt, and with a bit of hunting through their inventory, you'll find plenty of little vintage and not-so-vintage beauties.

selected shirts $15 @ tank theory

Tank theory. You know it's cool so go there and buy a $15 tee before it's too late and you have to self-harm... yourself for missing out.

get infinite lives from your hoody

They're at it again materializing geek culture over at SplitReason, with this nifty child-of-the-80's mushroom hoody which we both love and adore in equal quantities. What's the point of coming up with a design that looks kinda like an Italian plumber with something closely resembling a green tube of some kind when you can simply get the real pic and put it on a hoody whilst hoping dearly not to get sued?
Perhaps t-shirts are more your thing? Well, complete with mushroom print and tag with washing instructions, this mushroom tee is perfect for anyone reminiscent about the halcyon days of yore. They also have a cap and a beanie. And plenty of other neat stuff like this:

thinkgeek'll get you a girlfriend

ThinkGeek are looking out for you this season with this fantabulous offering from you to Japanese radies. I mean ladies. Roughly translated, this shirt says "Now accepting applications for Japanese girlfriends". It probably says the same thing unroughly translated, but lets be on the safe side.

waterloo... knowing my t-shirt's with me

The nice Argentinian people over at Waterloo have made a special offer just for duds readers... if you type the coupon code 'FUNKYDUDS' in at the checkout, you'll get a full 10% off their stock 'o funky retro rock and movie tees. Look just like a murderous, yet strangely likable thug in this Clockwork Orange tee, or grab something Bowie, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd or Clash-like and get down with the rock kids. If you happen to live in Buenos Aires you could just pop down to their real life store, but given that you probably don't, you'll have to get one from the interweb.
But never fear, in an interweb special they have a buy 3 get 1 free offer as well as the special 10% off offer, so you'll get like a hundred shirts for the price of one. Bargain!

threadless becomes a real life shop

That's right, you heard it hear last, the Skinnycorp lads are opening up a real life shop in Chicago. When asked whether Threadless will become a horrible mainstream sellout conglomerate retailer (not in those particular words) Jeffery from Threadless writes:

Fear not! There’s no way we’d have Threadless be how it is online, and then toss together a regular-old-boring retail store just to have one. Trust me in saying it’ll be like nothing you’ve seen before. That is, when it happens. The one thing I’ve learned this year as the Jakes and I have gotten more and more press is don’t believe what you read. They never get anything right, always mess up or completely leave out dates or facts which lead people to believe something that is just not so.

We’ve never kept things secrets from our community unless it was for a good reason, like a big awesome surprise. It won’t start now - believe me.

kazakhstan borat tee is actually classy

I find it fairly ironical that the most classy of all Borat-band-wagon tees is found at Useless Tees, the place where I'd not normally find ultras classy shirts. Well sometimes I do. Ok lots of the times I do, but that makes for a far less interesting introduction. Here are some of the vintage offerings you'll find there.
And 'ironical' is so too a word.

in love with the new threadless select tee
