NYC Bridal Event: Aveda's National Green Event

NYC-area brides, join Aveda beauty specialists this evening a beauty countdown with hair and makeup tips for the big day, the endless photo opps, how-to-maintain reception kisses and the honeymoon. Adele Wechsler gowns will be presented because being eco-conscious does not mean sacrificing style. There will also be local green vendors, Celadon & Celery Florist and Sugar Flower Cake Shop, who will be showcasing options for guests’ upcoming nuptials.

Event raises awareness for eco-conscious wedding planning and preparation.

WHAT: Aveda and Adele Wechsler Eco Couture host regional eco-wedding bridal events.

WHY: Aveda and Adele Wechsler are partnering to co-host regional bridal events during the months of April, May and June at participating Aveda salons across the country. Brides-to-be and their guests will receive tips from Aveda experts on picture perfect wedding day makeup, fool-proof skin care regimes and the latest bridal hair trends. Attendees will also preview new gown designs by Adele Wechsler Eco Couture, and eco-wedding service providers will also be represented, from local green bakeries and caterers to florists, photographers and printers. Guests at each event will have a chance to win Aveda service or product packages, eco-vendor products, and one lucky bride will take home her very own Adele Wechsler veil or headpiece. In addition, brides may enter to win national grand prizes: an Adele Wechsler Eco Couture wedding gown, or a honeymoon vacation at the Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort, an eco-friendly destination hotel in Belize.

I was fortunate to be invited to the launch of the beautiful Eco-Beautiful Weddings Magazine in NYC last week. The magazine is the brainchild of Katie Martin who is one of the world’s leading eco-friendly wedding experts. She has owned and operated Elegance & Simplicity, Inc. since 1998. Her firm has designed 1000’s of eco-friendly events and has been heralded internationally by magazines, newspapers, blogs and other forms of media. So it was a natural progression for the woman who has been merging eco-friendly and weddings for over 12 years to pull it all together in this gorgeous magazine.
