{Inspiration Board} Cheerful Spring Wedding + Guestbook Alternative

I've needed a bit of a pick-me-up lately and what better way to do that (wedding related at least) than to build a cheery colorful inspiration board.

And how about that top right photo for a great idea for a guestbook alternative?

Inspiration 217: Tangerine

During the contest I got a lot of great requests for color palettes, including this one.  Someone suggested an orange and yellow board mixed with gray, since I've done so many gray and yellow boards I went with more of an orange and gray board with pops of yellow.

Inspiration 216: Outdoor Coral, Aqua and Yellow Wedding

This is my favorite color palette so I was so excited to get this request the other day!  The bride who requested this board wants to work with an aqua, coral and yellow color palette for her outdoor wedding that she wants to keep fun and casual.  She wants the flowers to really be bright and vibrant and the other decor to be more subdued, and a lot of candlelight for the outdoor reception.

Real Wedding: Lacy & Toby's Classic Rustic Fall Wedding

Lacy & Toby's wedding was super cute!  I love how they really personalized a lot of the details and the classic fall color palette of red, orange and yellow was perfect for their October wedding.  Thanks to Jenny GG Photography for sharing this wedding with us.
some sweet details:

Inspiraion 215: Modern Whimsy

I think the bouquet in this board is just so whimsical, but modern at the same time.  So I took that idea and ran with it to create this board.  The zig-zag table runner is definitely fun & modern and the abstract cake is a unique touch.

Real Wedding: Beth & Jamie's Elegant Rustic Colorado Wedding

This wedding really portrays rustic elegance throughout all of the elements.  Their cake is simply beautiful and I love the current trend of the "bride" and "groom" signs on the back of the chairs at the reception.  Of course, the couple is totally adorable too!  Thanks to Christina Kiffney Photography for sharing this pretty wedding.

Inspiration 210: Bright Purple and Yellow

I've been on a kind of "sweet and simple" kick lately!  When I saw this wedding on Green Wedding Shoes I knew I wanted to make a yellow and shades of purple board.  I love the array of purples and how they "go" together without looking wild.

Theme Thursday 34: Let's Go Camping!

I came up with this board while I was working on Alternative Wednesday this week.  I found a cute camping wedding with the bridesmaids in separates so I created a board around their looks!  I think camping/campground weddings are so casually fun and adore the wildflower bouquet in this board.  I'm starting to think wildflowers are the perfect touch to any casual outdoor wedding!

Alternative Wednesday #19: Skirts for Bridesmaids!

If you want to give your  bridesmaids a modern look that they can wear again (and probably again and again and again...)-- dress them in stylish skirts!  It is also an affordable option with endless choices as far as colors, patterns and styles.  You can create a fun and flirty look, a classy look or a preppy look... the sky's the limit!

{Real Wedding} Jessica & Dwight: Cheery Morning Ceremony with Fun Nighttime 80's Themed Reception

This wedding is doubly good.  It is full of cheery yellow love in its morning ceremony, and the couple had an 80's themed party as their reception later that night.  With an 80's cover band and everyone wearing 80's outfits.  I would love to be invited to a wedding like that so I could get my crimper out of retirement (you know you had a crimper too!)

The ceremony venue was pure rustic gorgeousness.

At the end of the ceremony, guests serenaded the couple with "All You Need is Love" by The Beatles.

I love DIY petal cones!

There may be nothing better than billy button boutonnieres.

The stationery suite set the warm and cheery tone.
And check out that 80's themed reception card above!

The lovely florals were simple single arrangements and multiples in vintage mason jars and bottles.

And now, on to the party!

This might be my favorite picture.  Ever.

If you're the bride and having an 80's themed party, who better to be than Madonna!?

What a happy and fun wedding!  It looked like a true celebration of the couple and I'm so honored I got to share it with you.  Congrats Jessica and Dwight!
