Vintage Fashion Styling: Zoe Cope by Conan Thai

When I was approached by Conan Thai to style a shoot I was really ecstatic. I had met him before through one of my friends, Sade Williams, and really loved his work.

I really love how the shoot turned out, it's vintage, it's lovely, it's emotional, fresh... I hope you love it as much as I do!

Vintage Inspired Style Wedding Shoot with Kristin Rogers

Last weekend I had a wonderful opportunity to style a rustic wedding inspiration shoot (which I hope will grace some of my favorite wedding blogs!) This was one of the bigger production shoots I've done with so many talented people involved. What a truly fun day!

The amazing dresses are from designer Esther Jean who creates the most beautiful vintage inspired dresses and separates I've ever seen. Be sure to check out the site (an online store is coming soon!). It's Uh-Maze-Ing!

Vintage Fashion Styling: Paisley Mccollom by Caitlin Bellah

A few weeks ago I was asked to style a vintage fashion editorial with the wonderful Caitlin Bellah and Paisley McCollom from FORD. We shot close to a family pumpkin patch and farmer's market which resulted in some troubles for us as we were "guerrilla style" shooting (when you don't get permit) and got kicked out. (Oops!) But luckily we were able to get most of our shots in!

I had such fun at the shoot! Paisley is currently one of the Forever21 models and told me a bit about what it was like working for them, she also shared how surreal it was to see giant posters of her face at Target when she had a campaign with them. I'm always a bit fascinated by stories like these, but mostly fascinated that when you meet these models in person, they're so normal and approachable, not at all like their glossy alter egos.

If you're wondering why the vintage clothes look familiar... it's because most of the wardrobe is from my Adorevintage!

Behind the Scenes at the Beverly Hills Planet Salon Fashion Show

Last weekend I was hired to style a group of lovely ladies for a fashion show for Planet Salon in Beverly Hills (very exciting) and I was able to snap a few backstage photos... unfortunately I am not so skilled at taking photos when there isn't much light and when people are always moving... The experience was fantastic. It was the first time I had ever styled for an actual show instead of shoots. (And this weekend is my FILM styling debut, woo-hoo!)

The girls all had very romantic hair, so to coincide with the hair, I wanted them to look ethereal, a little fairy-like even. Some of the models felt like they were walking down the aisle instead of a runway... *hehe* I wish I had photographed more of the actual show and the people that came to see, there were a lot of fantastic outfits to be found! Perhaps another time!
